Generous grant for carvings
On 6 September 2007 Consolidated Rutile Limited (CRL) CEO Chris Cobb handed FoPI a cheque for $11,900. This money was gratefully received, and will be used by local artist Troy Robbins to create replicas of the remaining wooden carvings from the Lazaret.
Once completed, these replicas will be placed at the Lazaret. More information on carving project is available in the November edition of the FoPI Flyer.

Wildflower Tour on Stradbroke Island
A very successful Wildflower tour on Stradbroke Island held 9 September 2007. Our thanks to CRL for their support and for Harry and Karilyn Beiers, and Rhonda Bryce for organising the trip. The Wildflowers were out in force down at Lake Ibis.
We were also privileged to be hosted by Uncle Pat and Aunty Margaret Iselin on a visit Terra Bulla Leumeah, a new bushcare site located at the old Myora Mission. Our thanks to Aunty Margaret for her informative talk about the history of the indigenouse community on the island, and the history of the site we visited.
